Description:

George Michael is one of the world’s most successful male artists, selling over 100 million records world wide and encompassing 11 British No.1 singles, eight British No.1 albums and six US No.1 singles. FAITH – THE GEORGE MICHAEL LEGACY is a stunning tribute show that features Wayne Dilks as George Michael together with an 8 piece backing band, the show and production are based upon The George Michael 25 Live Tour (also known as the 25th Anniversary Tour). The tour was the most commercially successful tour of 2006–2007 in Europe. The tour grossed more than $200 million, with positive reviews from music critics. The 106 tour shows were performed in 41 countries and seen by 2 million fans across the globe. FAITH – THE GEORGE MICHAEL LEGACY uses actual video footage and screens used on this tour.

As seen on TV’s Stars in their eyes (Feb. 2002) Wayne Dilks portrays Superstar George Michael in this outstanding tribute show. This amazing show is a celebration of 35 years of hit records and will take you on a journey from George’s early years with Wham through to his successful solo career. Performing those everlasting hits such as Club Tropicana, Wake me up before you go-go, I’m your man, Faith, Fast love and Outside. Not forgetting the romantics, his tribute would not be complete without the timeless ballads like Careless Whisper, A Different Corner and Don’t let the sun go down on me.

Wayne’s performance as George Michael is so uncanny and so true that the Stars in their eyes producers invited Wayne to perform his tribute on their 9-week live tour 2004 to great success.

Wayne has appeared on countless radio stations for interviews in the UK and abroad and appeared on ITV’s Loose women in 2011 as a birthday surprise for presenter Kate Thornton. In the last couple of years his tribute show as reached new heights with shows in USA and Russia. In December 2014 on the 30th anniversary of the Wham! hit “Last Christmas” he performed in Saas Fee, Switzerland which was the location for the iconic 1984 video.

“Uncanny! Look’s and sound’s like the real superstar” The Stage Magazine

FAITH – THE GEORGE MICHAEL LEGACY is the must see theatre show in 2017!
