Charlie Landsborough

Charlie and his five-piece band are well known for keeping concertgoers enthralled. His engaging anecdotes captivate audiences wherever he performs - he is as entertaining as he is melodic and there’s always a good dose of humour thrown in.

His music, which ranges from inspirational to country, from ballad to anthem, hits the spot.  He has dedicated fans the world over, even as far afield as Australia where his 2008 tour won him a host of new admirers. One of Charlie’s new songs is titled “Australia In My Heart” and a return tour of that continent is scheduled for this July.

Late last year Charlie released a brand new album, incredibly his 20th to date.Titled “Nothing Lasts Forever”, it featured 18 tracks in total comprising 12 self-penned songs and six covers.

Commenting on the title track Charlie said “There’s a youthful belief that you’ll never grow old, you’re cocooned in a world of good health, good times and seeming timelessness without any real thought of tomorrow. Later you look back and wonder where it all went - and yet one thing has emerged stronger – a deeper and more mature love.”

Last Autumn Charlie also released his keenly awaited autobiography. Entitled “Storyteller” the book was published by Trinity Newspapers. It has done so well already that the publishers are already planning a reprint.

“Storyteller” details, in Charlie’s own inimitable fashion, the early years in Birkenhead where he grew up (with all its attendant struggles) to his time in the army, his Christianity, the many years of teaching and, in his 50s, the taste of musical success. His rise was meteoric and since his first big hit, “What Colour Is the Wind”, he has never looked back.
